First Year Orienteering Challenge with TY Mentors

First Year Orienteering Challenge with TY Mentors

On Friday, our First Year students enjoyed their third mentoring session with the Transition Year mentors, which this time took the form of an orienteering activity around the school.

Clues were hidden in different areas of the school building, and the First Years worked together in teams, guided and supported by their TY mentors. The school quickly became a hive of activity, with plenty of energy, teamwork, and excitement as students raced to solve the challenges.

This activity was a great way for the First Years to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and strengthen their bonds with one another, while also benefitting from the encouragement of their TY leaders.

Well done to all our First Years for their fantastic participation and to the TY mentors for their continued hard work and commitment in guiding and supporting them. A special thank you also to Mr. John Magee for his help in organising and overseeing this enjoyable event.
