Transition Year Students Take Part in Outdoor Activity Trip to Watergrasshill
Transition Year students from Millstreet Community School took part in an outdoor activity trip to Watergrasshill on Friday, 12th December, where they enjoyed a day of go-karting and paintballing.
The trip provided students with the opportunity to engage in active, hands-on experiences outside the classroom, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication and healthy competitiveness. Both activities required students to work collaboratively, plan strategies and remain focused under pressure, while also encouraging resilience and positive participation.
Go-karting offered students a taste of controlled competitive racing in a safe environment, while paintballing challenged teams to cooperate, make quick decisions and work towards shared objectives. The outdoor setting contributed to a highly engaging and physically active experience.
The trip was a valuable and enjoyable part of the Transition Year programme, supporting student development through learning beyond the classroom.
Millstreet Community School would like to thank Mr. Shane Guerin and Ms. Michelle Coneely for organising and supervising the trip, and commend the students for their excellent behaviour and positive attitude throughout the day.
