TY Students Take Part in Communicating Europe Initiative
All Transition Year students at Millstreet Community School recently participated in the Communicating Europe Initiative, organised by Nollaig Murphy of IRD.
This year's project, "Marking the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union: An Occasion for Us All," focused on Ireland's role in the EU and the impact of European issues on young people.
Guest speaker Dr Brendan O'Keeffe delivered an informative workshop, encouraging students to explore and discuss Ireland's role within Europe.
The session concluded with a quiz, followed by cookies and Capri-Suns for the students.
Many thanks to Dr O'Keeffe and Nollaig Murphy for organising an enjoyable and educational event.
