A Day in St Andrews ahead for MCS Golfers

After another early start, 7.30 am on the bus, golf is a tough game, up early, miles of walking all day and home late, only the tough survive and our crew are tough!

Today is the final day of competition and we head to St Andrews. Relax, we are not playing on the Old Course as part of the competition, a lotto win would be need for that experience! We are on the Fairmount St Andrews course, within smelling distance of the hallowed ground though!

Today it is a Links course which should prove a different challenge. Our hopes for a clear day to enjoy the views from this specular area is not to be, cloud and rain await us. No shotgun start today; the Juniors (Oisin) and Staff (Mrs Radon) players are on the Torrance Course while the Seniors play on the Kittocks Course.

Later on in the afternoon, we have the opportunity to visit the home of golf, the oldest golf course in the world, The Old Course in St Andrews. It is six hundred years old and is the place every golfer wants to play.

Thanks to Ms O Donoghue for the update this morning. We'll keep you posted as the day unfolds, but MCS are upholding the spirit of the game, and their integrity is to be commended.
