Celebrating the Leaving Certificate Class of 2025
Millstreet Community School marked a poignant and joyful milestone on Thursday 20th May, as the Leaving Certificate Class of 2025 gathered with their families, teachers, and the wider school community for their Graduation Mass and Celebrations.
The evening began with a heartfelt Graduation Mass, led by Canon Fitzgerald, which offered students and their families a moment to reflect on their journey through secondary school. The ceremony celebrated not only academic and personal achievements but also the resilience and growth shown by the students through their time in Millstreet Community School.
Staff and students alike acknowledged the strength, kindness, and community spirit that has defined this year group. As they prepare to step into the next chapter of their lives—whether it be further education, training, or employment—hope, ambition, and gratitude were at the heart of the message shared. These sentiments were echoed in the readings, music, and student reflections that formed part of the Mass.
Following the Mass, families and staff gathered for a reception of refreshments, which provided a relaxed opportunity for conversation. One of the highlights of the evening was the display of beautifully individualised cupcakes—each one decorated with the name of a Leaving Cert student—adding a personal and thoughtful touch to the occasion, thanks to Ms Kelleher for providing these.
The school extends a sincere thank you to all who helped make the evening special: Mr Magee who coordinated the event, the students who took part in the liturgy, and the families who have supported their children and the school throughout the years.
To the Class of 2025, Millstreet Community School sends its warmest congratulations and very best wishes for the road ahead. May the future bring each of you success, joy, and continued growth—wherever your path may lead.
