Celebrating 46 Years of Service – A Special Moment for Marion at MCS

Millstreet Community School was honoured to welcome our Joint Patrons to the school on 1st December, a visit that coincided with a truly remarkable milestone for one of the most beloved members of our school community.

During their tour, our Joint Patrons were delighted to mark the 46th anniversary – to the very day – of Marion beginning her work in Millstreet Community School. This milestone makes Marion the longest-serving School Clerical Officer in the entire county of Cork, an achievement that speaks volumes about her dedication, loyalty and exceptional service.

For over four decades, Marion has been at the heart of everything that happens in MCS. Her warmth, professionalism and unwavering commitment have supported staff, students, parents and visitors alike. From her first day in December 1978 right through to today, she has been a constant source of kindness, efficiency and reassurance. Simply put, the school would not be the same without her.

The Joint Patrons expressed their deep appreciation for Marion’s outstanding contribution to the life of the school and thanked her for her exceptional service over so many years. They also acknowledged the invaluable role she continues to play every single day in the smooth running of Millstreet Community School.

On behalf of the entire school community, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Marion on reaching this extraordinary milestone.

Thank you, Marion, for 46 incredible years – and for being the warm, welcoming, and steady presence at the heart of MCS.

We are proud to celebrate you.
