MCS LCVP Students Present €400 to Kerry Parents & Friends
Millstreet Community School’s Leaving Certificate LCVP students proudly welcomed Breda Kelleher from Kerry Parents and Friends this week, where they presented a cheque for €400 in support of the organisation’s vital work.
The funds were raised last year as part of the students’ LCVP Action Plan, in which they organised a highly successful school quiz and soccer blitz involving students from across the school community. The events were designed to build teamwork, leadership and organisational skills while also supporting a meaningful cause.
Kerry Parents and Friends Association provides essential services, advocacy, and support for people with intellectual disabilities and their families across the region. Breda expressed her thanks to the students and acknowledged the positive impact their contribution would have.
Teacher coordinators praised the students for their commitment, noting that the project demonstrated the core values of the LCVP programme—enterprise, community engagement, and active citizenship.
Millstreet Community School congratulates all involved and looks forward to continuing its tradition of supporting local and regional charities through student-led initiatives.
