Millstreet Community School Celebrates a Fun-Filled and Engaging Science Week

Millstreet Community School enjoyed a vibrant and curiosity-filled Science Week recently, with students across all year groups taking part in a wide range of activities that encouraged teamwork, problem-solving and hands-on learning.

Throughout the week, Second Year and Third Year students participated in science quizzes, putting their knowledge, teamwork and quick-thinking to the test in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Meanwhile, First Year students enjoyed exciting science experiments during break times, giving them an opportunity to explore real-world scientific principles in an engaging and informal setting.

Senior students were also part of the celebration, as Fifth and Sixth Years tackled a daily ‘Question of the Day’ challenge, encouraging them to think critically and apply scientific reasoning outside the traditional classroom.

Teachers and organisers expressed pride in the students’ enthusiasm, highlighting that events like Science Week play a valuable role in promoting curiosity, confidence, and interest in STEM-based learning.

Milstreet Community School would like to commend all students for their participation and positive engagement, and to thank staff for their support in planning and delivering a memorable week of science-based fun and discovery.
