Women Hold Up Half The Sky- Coffee Morning

Four years to the very day since the last time, a group of Millstreet Community School TY girls once again welcomed actively retired ladies from the community to a coffee morning in Millstreet Parish Centre.  The idea originally came from the TY GCE class to mark the run up to International Women's Day, which takes place on 8th March every year.  The title of the coffee morning is 'women hold up half the sky', and is a chance for the women from across the generations to chat and get to know each other.

Despite the terrible weather, thirty ladies braved the elements to spend time with the younger students, and share the delicious buns and cakes the girls had prepared. Well done to everyone involved and to organizer Mr Magee.
