Global Goals- 2nd Years travel to Schull

'The Global Goals Day that took place in Schull Community College on Friday 23rd November was the result of many weeks of planning.  The event involved the 2nd year students from Schull and from Millstreet Community School sharing their knowledge of two of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  These were, Goal 14 - Life Under Water and Goal 15 - Life on Land.  

The event was coordinated by members of staff from Self-Help Africa and WorldWise Global Schools, but most of the preparation work done with the students was carried out by their teachers.  

Self Help Africa is a leading international development charity with an expertise in small-scale farming and growing family-farm businesses. We are motivated by injustice, by our expertise in small-scale agriculture and family-farm business, and the opportunity we have to help small farmers change the lives of their families.

The day proved to be a opportunity to learn more about the Global Goals and to share ideas with the students from the other school.'
