MCS Parents’ Council

As the Parent/Guardian of a Student in MCS, you are automatically a member of the Parents’ Council. The first meeting of the MCS Parents’ Council was held in the School Library on Thursday, 29th September at 7:15pm.  We were delighted to welcome such a big number of Parents/Guardians to MCS on the night to meet other parents and get involved in your school. 

Parents’ Council Committee 2022-23:

  • Chairperson: Mrs. Mairéad Golden

  • Secretary: Mrs. Claire McCarthy

  • Asst. Secretary (Ukraine): Mrs. Natalia Zaiets

  • Treasurer: Mrs. Sinéad Murphy

The focus of Parents’ Council Meetings is:

·         To work for the good of students and the school community.

·         To confirm collaboration and partnership within the school community.

·         To obtain information and share information.

·         To discuss school policies.

·         To fundraise by prior agreement

·         To make plans and monitor activities.

·         To reach and communicate decisions.

The Parents’ Council does not have the role or responsibility of dealing with complaints against members of the school staff or Principal.  Such complaints should be taken directly to the Principal/Secretary of the Board of Management by the parents or guardians concerned. The Parents’ Council does not have a role or responsibility in the provision or management of the School Curriculum, these are matters for School Management.
